This privacy policy applies to the processing of personal data by We Protect Security ("WPS", "we", "us"). We are the data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We respect your privacy and handle your personal data carefully and confidentially, fully in line with the GDPR and the Dutch GDPR Implementation Act (UAVG).
2. What data do we process?
We only process the data you provide to us yourself or that is necessary for the functioning and security of our website.
Quote request
- First and last name;
- Email address and phone number;
- Selected services and your contact preference;
- Details about the assignment (type, date, location, start and end time, type and expected number of visitors, number of security personnel, and description).
Job application
- First and last name, date of birth, address and place of residence;
- Email address and phone number;
- Driver's licence, diplomas and courses obtained;
- Documents you upload (such as diplomas, certificates, identification, driver's licence, bank card and passport photo);
- Your motivation, work experience and answers to open questions.
If you send copies of identity documents, please redact any details we do not need. We only ask for a citizen service number (BSN) where this is legally required.
Website use
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, insofar as necessary for the security and proper functioning of the website.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process your personal data only for the following purposes and on the following legal bases (Article 6 GDPR):
- Handling quote requests — to answer your request and make a suitable proposal. Basis: performance of a contract or taking pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Processing job applications — to assess your application and communicate with you. Basis: pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)) and, for retaining your data longer, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
- Security and improvement of the website — Basis: our legitimate interest in a secure and well-functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Complying with legal obligations — such as tax retention requirements. Basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
We never use your data for other purposes without informing you and, where required, obtaining your consent.
4. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your data. We only share your data with:
- Processors that provide services on our behalf, such as our email service provider (Resend) and our hosting and website provider. We enter into data processing agreements with these parties.
- Competent authorities, where we are legally required to do so.
Transfers outside the EEA
Our email service provider may process data outside the European Economic Area (including in the United States). In that case we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
5. Retention periods
- Quote requests and contact details: for as long as necessary to handle them and thereafter for a maximum of two years, unless a longer statutory retention period applies (such as the seven-year tax retention period for a concluded agreement).
- Application data: up to four weeks after the application procedure ends. With your consent, we keep your data for a maximum of one year so we can approach you for future vacancies.
6. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections (TLS), access restrictions and secure storage. No transmission over the internet is completely secure; we continuously work to protect your data.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- Access to the personal data we process about you;
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Erasure ("right to be forgotten");
- Restriction of processing;
- Portability of your data;
- Objection to processing;
- Withdrawal of consent, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
You can submit a request via info@weprotectsecurity.eu. We respond within one month. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity.
8. Filing a complaint
Not satisfied with how we handle your data? Please contact us first. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens), via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

10. Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions about you based on automated processing or profiling that have legal effects for you or otherwise significantly affect you.
